Q: Windows 10 on Macbook 12 installation issue

I'm attempting to in install Windows 10 Pro for the 3rd time on my macbook 12" (early 2015) 500 Gb.

Considering that my two previous attempts are failed using the following configuration:

  • OSX El Capitain 10.11.1
  • bootcamp 6
  • Windows 10 iso 64 bit italian (from microsoft site) - first time
  • Windows 10 iso 64/32 bit italian (from USB inside microsoft box) - second time
  • USB 3.0  Verbatim 32 Gb
  • Bootcamp assistant procedure from Apple support instructions

In both attempts, when BCA has restarted the system for installing Win 10 everything worked till the point where I get this error:

6.-Error-code-0x80070570.jpg

I would really appreciate any kind of help, suggestion or procedure to follow prior to proceed with the third attempt.

I would like to know if there are specific issues in installing Windows 10 on Macbook 12.

Thanks in advance to everybody.

Simone.

Are you downloading the W10 Italian ISO over a wireless connection?

Can you try the ISO download over a wired connection. Wireless downloads may lead to corrupted ISO blocks. You can also try and verify the MD5sum/SHA1 of the ISO from M$.

Ok I'll try the ISO download over wired connection tomorrow, now I can't.

For the MD5sum/SHA1 could be a problem, Microsoft don't show it any more when you download an ISO.

Do you know if there are specific issues in installing WIN 10 on macbook 12?

Tanks a lot for your help.

The only potential issue is available disk space on a MB 12. If you use a USB-c-to-USB hub normally, do not use it to install W10, but you can still create a USB/W10 installer via BCA Options.

Can you explain me better? Do you mean  not to use USB created via BCA to install Win 10 directly?

I have only one USB-C port and I have used it with the Apple adapter from USB-C to USB standard.

Disk space is not an issue, my Mac is completely empty  I have only OSX installed.

If you are using a USBc-to-USB hub, it creates problems. If you are using a USBc-to-USB adapter, it should be fine. The difference is the adapter vs a hub. A hub confuse BC Assistant.

Hi, has the solution been found? I have the same issue and I think is related to applessd.sys. The methods used in another macbooks models (deleting applessd.sys or replacing with an older version) do not work in the new 12 inch macbook, probably because the hardware of the SSD is completely new.
