uber app not loading (Apple Watch 2.01)

Thanks for this. I had tried everything else recommended but you are correct, the key is to have the app open on the watch when you sign out and back in again on the phone. Make sure the app remains displayed on the watch though and don't allow it to switch back to the watch face. Only taken me two weeks to get it working UBER support was useless.

Thank you, thank you! I have tried everything (uninstall, reinstall, sign in and sign out) but following your exact step by step worked!!! The key apparently is to have the watch app open when you sign in and out on the phone.

I had this issue for a long time but fixed it today. Reinstalling never fixed it. I simply signed out of the app on my phone, started app on my watch, then signed back in to the app on my phone.

Update the app

Stop and restart the installation

1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
2. Tap the app and turn off Show App on Apple Watch.
3. Wait a moment, and then turn on Show App on Apple Watch again.

1. Restart your Apple Watch and your iPhone.

Sorry, none of these things work.

I've uninstalled the Uber app, restarted both iPhone and Apple Watch, reinstalled them.

I've tried with different Wi-Fi access points, Wi-Fi off.

The Uber app doesn't load, it's stuck on the start black screen with the blue dot blinking.

Is there a solution to this?

Same issue here. I contacted Uber app-support through the Help-section, the response was that they were investigating it.

Whoever else is experiencing the same thing,think it would help reporting this to Uber so that it can get properly escalated/prioritized.

Happening to me too. I'm not sure if it's a problem with Watch OS2 or the app itself because a lot of my apps aren't working/crashing too.

Same problem here. It's been happening at least since I updated to watchOS 2.

Uber Help is absolutely no help at all... https://help.uber.com delivers this:

Clicking on 'Go to homepage' just returns the same message.

This is my experience. WatchOS 2.0 and 2.01 have both meant the Uber app either doesn't load or when it does load updates on my iPhone are not communicated to the Watch. Same updates broke Words With Friends on my Watch. Now that I think about it the only third party app I regularly use that continues to function after WatchOS 1.0 is Amazon.

I had the same issue. I then installed the lates ios on my iphone and Apple watch. I then signed out of the Uber App and signed back in and working perfectly now!!
