Q: iTunes closes itself

Hey,

OS: 10.10.5 Yosemite

When I launch iTunes, it closes itself after 7 seconds and I receive the following error-message in german.

"iTunes wurde beim Verwenden des Plug-Ins libgnsdk_dsp.3.06.1.dylib unerwartet beendet."

Does anyone of you experience the same issue with the Plugin libgnsdk_dsp.3.06.1.dylib ?

First time I experienced it was probably Saturday.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    Hi, Christian-Walter.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand that iTunes closes shortly after launch.  Since you are receiving an error regarding an issue with a plug-in, lets remove any third-party plug-ins and test.  I am not sure if you have an iOS device connected when this happens, but the article directly below is just for reference.

    1. Test with iTunes plug-ins removed.

      • Quit iTunes.
      •
      • Navigate to the following folder, based on your operating system:
          Windows XP:
          C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins
          Windows Vista or Windows 7:
          C:\Users\[username]\App Data\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins
          Mac OS X:

        • ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins (The "~" represents your Home folder)
        •
        • /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins
        •

      •
      • If any files are in this folder, move them to the Desktop temporarily.
      •
      • Open iTunes and test to see if the issue is resolved. If so, you may leave these iTunes plug-ins removed. If you wish to re-use these iTunes plug-ins, consult the vendor for the iTunes plug-ins to see if any updates are available.

iTunes: May become unresponsive when connecting iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, lets try reinstalling iTunes by going downloading it directly from the website.  Once this is done, restart the Mac and test the results.
