Q: MBP looses internet connectivity (Early 2015, El Capitan)

I have an early-2015 mbp retina, and I've got this weird thing going on:

Every couple of hours, my mac looses internet connectivity, for a 1-3 minutes. It drives me crazy..

Here's the weird piece:

when connectivity is lost, the computer is still connected to the wifi. Not only that, but any existing ssh connection I have (I have plenty of them) remains open and working fine. However, even when trying to ping anything (eg ping 8.8.8.8), I get "Request timeout for icmp_seq XX".

I tried pretty much every solution that I found. Nothing resolves it.

I'm on the verge of reformatting my mbp (which will take a long long time, as I have all these dev tools set up here).

Does anyone have any idea or a direction I can explore?

    Howdy Aviv_e,

it sounds like you are unable to stay connected to the internet on your Macbook Pro. I would recommend using the wireless diagnostics assistant to help diagnose what is happening here the next time it happens:

Use Wireless Diagnostics to help you resolve Wi-Fi issues on your Mac

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Thanks Sterling,

I ran the diagnostic tool and it generated a report about disconnection from the wifi.

what should I do with this report??

Thanks for the update! The main point of the recommendation was to get to the screen that has suggestions about what to do for any issues that it found, which looks like this, from the same diagnostics article as in my first post:

In order to see what these suggestions are click the 'i' in the blue circle you see to the right:

The summary provides a list of any issues that were found and recommendations for fixing those issues. Click the info button next to an item to see more information.
