Q: None of my preferred networks are available.
I recently upgraded from an Airport Express A1264 to an Airport Express A1392. Although the broadband speed has doubled when I perform an online speed test, every time I open my MacBook Pro, I get the "None of your preferred networks are available." message and have to manually select my network off the provided list. The MacBook Pro simply will not automatically select my network.
Ironically, my very old white MacBook automatically selects my network immediately upon opening - although, for some reason,it now has a dreadfully slow result on a speed test.
I have done all of the recommended Network fixes, have moved my MacBook Pro within two feet of the Airport Express unit, but still get the same message. This problem has been submitted to the Airport support forum and, when all the efforts of a very knowledgeable Airport problem solver did not work, his comment was: "Then unfortunately, we cannot help......since you have a Mac operating system problem. Try posting in the support forum for the operating system that you are using on your Mac."
And so I am doing just that.
Any thoughts?
