I have an August, 2007 built MBP Laptop and wish to purchase a new screen.
Several screens on EBAY have designation like A1229 or MA897LL, MA869LL/A or MB076LL and other cryptic notes.
WiKi claims my MBP is a MA 897LLA with a TFT Widescreen, of which I've yet to find those words on Ebay.
Clarification would be helpful so I may simply purchase the appropriate
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
Those are model or marketing numbers. The latter are produced for certain geographic areas ("gets"), as coded in the alpha suffix ("LL/A", for example). The differences in products between the geos can be the: power adapter cords and duckheads, keyboard, and associated printed collateral.
Opps. "Geos", not "gets".
