Transfer photoes from Ipod Touch 5th generation

I have an old 4th Gen Ipod Touch and Also a newer 2013 5th Generation Ipod touch. Both have lots of photoes. Like 1000 plus. The newer one went dead

completely for 2 days but now has resurrected. I want to get the pics off both of them onto a CD before they both crash. Can I do this at the photo lab

on those computers that transfer pics to a CD that you buy? I saw someone plugging in the USB 2.0 plug into that computer and transferring. I have an Imac 2010 and also a WIndows7 laptop. I do not wish to load all those 1000 plus pics onto the same gallery as either computer but would rather load them onto DVDs or CDS

but am not sure how to do it. Thanks

If the photos are located in the camera roll part of your iPod, just plug it into a computer. Ignore the syncing and iTunes, and simply use windows explorer to navigate to the iPod, DCIM and simply drag the photos onto your PC.

If the photos were synced to the iPod yo need an app like PhoneView or TouchCopy to copy them to the computer.
