Nov 10, 2015 9:23 AM in response to J. Christopher Edwardsby Phil0124,It seems its an ongoing issue. When installing Apple Tv Apps on a 4th Generation Apple Tv, there iOS counterparts install on associated iOS devices, but never really finish installing and remain in a grayed out sate.
These are not technically Apple Tv Apps, they are the iOS versions of the Apple Tv Apps that were installed.
You can turn off Automatic Downloads in Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Automatic Downloads on your iPhone to prevent it from happening.
As for the grayed out Apps, you can try rebooting the iPhone to force them to complete, and then delete them the normal way. By holding down on one until they shake, and tap on the in the corner to remove them.

Apple MusicUniversal Apps that are purchased on Apple TV will be available on iOS devices as Phil0124 states above. Conversely I purchased Canabalt on iOS a few years back and as the developer has added Apple TV support to the Universal app it shows up in my purchase history on Apple TV and I can install it if I choose.
