Q: Can't receive mil on iMac running El Capitan

I have just transferred all my data from my MacBook Pro to my new iMac running El Capitan. Everything seems to work except, can't get incoming mail on 3 out of 4  mail accounts .Tried everything  suggested on forum with no success. Any ideas?
