This is my guess. You have a panic in the networking stack, and you also have a 3rd party kernel extension that wants to do network actions. I would say the 3rd party extension is interfering in a not nice way.

I suggest removing MacProxy and see what happens.

Thanks for the response! I was also suspecting this to be the main issue, but wasn't sure of it. I am not a wizard with computers, so do you have any suggestions on how to completely remove a "macproxy"? i.e. I can remove the application from the applications folder, but are there any other settings that I will have to revert to factory settings or other files from the computer that I will have to delete?

NOTE: I DO NOT know if MacProxy is at fault. But It messes with the network, and you had an assert in networking code. I'm just making an assumption that this might be the cause.

Hmm, I think I see the big picture of this problem, is the assertion failure due to the file not being able to be created? Because I can't find the file in ~/Library/Caches/ . Also, do you think the updating to El Capitan, which included something called the SIP had to do with this problem? Because I've been using this proxy with Mavericks and Yosemite for some time, my friends also, since the country I am residing at is blocking a lot of foreign sites, and this proxy has never caused harm to my computer. Lastly (Sorry for asking so many questions! As I've said before, not a computer wizard!😁), what does "allowing incoming connections" from a proxy app do? Does it allow the servers on the other side to do malicious things to my computer? Thanks in advance!

The path is not in your home directory, but the root level /Library

/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-3247.10.11/bsd/netinet/tcp_output .c

No tilda before /Library.

That is possible. I do not have much experience with El Capitan's SIP, so I cannot actually say.

You could try disabling SIP, by doing a Google search for "disable El Capitan SIP" and you will find several articles on how to disable SIP. Just make sure you A) have a backup for your system, B) you know how to re-enable SIP just in case that is not the issue.

It is possible your version of MacProxy is not compatible with the version of OS X you are currently running.

If there is not a version of MacProxy specifically for your version of OS X, then you might also look for another proxy utility or a VPN service. BUT BEFORE going that route, at least make sure MacProxy is the problem, and not just my guess.

I'm not sure, so I'm going to talk in generalities.

If you have a home router, then generally speaking unsolicited network connections do not get anywhere, as home routers share one internet IP address with multiple Macs (even if you only have 1 Mac), so it does not know which Mac to send any unsolicited network connection to, thus it just drops those requests.

If this request is from say the OS X firewall asking if MacProxy is allowed to make some specific connections, they I'm assuming it is just something MacProxy needs to do.

If this is a feature of MacProxy allowing unsolicited network connections through the MacProxy proxy server, then maybe it is allowing anyone to make unsolicited connections. However, I'm thinking that just like a home router, a proxy server is letting lots of MacProxy users share one (or a bunch) of internet IP addresses, so how would anyone know to connect to a specific IP address for you and a specific port that would get sent to a specific port on your Mac. It could happen, but I just do not see it.

Maybe there is something on the MacProxy web site that explains this.

So worse case, your setup is allowing unsolicited network connections to your Mac. In that case there still needs to be an open port that some bit of software is listening to (System Preferences -> Sharing), and the connection needs to have the correct authentication (as generally we are talking about Remote Login (ssh), File Sharing, Screen Sharing, Printer Sharing, etc...; most of these require that the connection know your username and password, except maybe printer sharing if you have it enabled, they may be able to print on your printer). If you do not have any open ports then there is nothing they can connect to. If the ports that are open require a username (that they do not know, unless they make a lucky guess), and your password, which if it is a good password, means they are unlikely to be able to do anything except waste some CPU time
