Sep 9, 2016 3:39 PM in response to ronifrombcby Beef / Bouef,I Have the exact same problem, but I've discovered an interesting twist:
when I first press the screen button on the remote, the AppleTV powers up, the television powers up, the receiver powers up, and the inlut is correctly set.....after 30 seconds the receiver input changes to the wrong input. Pressing the TV button again causes the receiver to come back to the correct input and It doesn't change anymore. A minor annoyance.
now with the new remote app on iOS, I notice that when I power up using the app, the problem doesn't occur...it only happens when I use the physical apple remote.

Sep 9, 2016 4:55 PM in response to Beef / Bouefby Diana.McCall,I think this behavior may be due to the priority of the TV set in the HDMI-CEC hierarchy. When you have ATV connected through the A/V receiver to the TV, it sends the turn on and switch input commands, which affect both the receiver and the TV. When the TV turns on, it sends its own switch input command to the receiver, saying "hey I'm talking now". Your extra hit on the ATV Home button sends the switch input command again, but now everything's on, so the TV stays out of it. I too have noticed that starting ATV by the Remote app is somehow different from using the physical remote. Not sure if that's intentional or accidental.
