Q: How do I update the expiration on a card (or do I need to)?

I got a new (replacement car). The bank said I should update my wallet for the new expiration date. How do I do that?  Or do I need to?

    You will need to contact your bank to check whether you need to do anything.

     

    You certainly can't edit the card's expiration date or security code yourself within Apple Pay. A card issuer may automatically associate a replacement card with your existing Device Account Number, enabling you to continue using the same card account via Apple Pay without needing to do anything yourself.

     

    Otherwise, you will need to remove the original card and add the new one separately.

     

    Only your bank can clarify which method applies in your particular case.
