broke iPhoto

I need a solution immediately for not being able to access all the pictures we need in iPhoto. I upgraded to El Capitan foolishly thinking that all would run as normal. I am on travel. I can't help my wife get to her photos and she needs them immediately. I need a simple solution.

Please help. What version of iPhoto works with El Captan? 9.6.1? Please send it to me to for her to link to and install. I can't find it in the app store to link her to it.

Please help me fix this. We should not have perfectly good working software yanked out from under us without a simple solution or update every time we trust MAC with its next operating system.

this is too complicated for average folks. Please help.
