Repairing Light Scratches On Watch Face?

I've somehow managed to get a few light & short scratches along my Apple Watch Sport's glass watch face.

Just wondering if anyone knows of amy methods to smooth out scratches or scuffs?

I was thinking about gently using a very small amount of cutting compound or polish, but I'm worried about affecting the touch panel digitiser in the display.

Hi

It is possible that you have only scratched through the fingerprint-resistant, oil repellent coating. It is normal for this coating to wear away under normal use, but it may have become scratched without damaging the screen beneath.

Whether you have scratched the glass or not, Apple does not recommend using cleaning products or polishing or buffing the watch with abrasives; these will wear away the coating and may also (further) scratch the glass beneath.

Unfortunately, cosmetic damage - which includes scratches - is not covered under warranty. Your watch may be eligible for out-of-warranty service. If you make a Genius Bar reservation, Apple can inspect the marks and advise of any service options and the price:

Otherwise, a good quality screen protector (film-type) may be effective in obscuring or reducing the visibility of the mark, as well as in providing some measure of protection against future damage.
