Q: Remove Mac Photos file to free up space

What I am trying to ultimately do is free up space. I have all my photos in the iCloud, what I would now like to do is take the actual file off my MacBook Pro and just stream the photo.

Similar to iTunes match how you can free up space by syncing all your songs with iTunes Match in the cloud then actually go and delete the song so the file is no longer stored on your hard drive taking up space and it just streams the song. I just want to do this with the Photos app on the mac. Please tell me this is possible.
