Hi, I'm editing as non professional on FCPX. I'd like to experience the dual screen configuration for a complex video edit (lots of shots). How should I connect these screens, which cable is relevant ? I've got a 21' Imac 2010 and 27' Imac 2012. Thanks in advance

YYou can't use the screen of one computer as a second monitor for the other.

Check the reference fox_m gave you.
According to mactracker, your 2010 mac hasn't got Thunderbolt, so you need a mini-DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort cable.
I have never tried this with pre-Thunderbolt machines, so I cannot atest how well that works; but target display mode works superbly with a 2011 iMac and a Thunderbolt cable connected to my MBP.
Best cable solution to connect 2 imac and edit on dual screen ?
