Q: why does my iPhone keeps asking me to reactivate it?

I've had the phone for almost two years and just two days ago it will go to sleep and then ill press the center button and the apple shows up on a dark screen (signifying that it had turned off and was restarting). Then it will turn on and say, "activation is required", and make me type in my apple ID and password again and again.
