Thanks for trying to help, Gary. I am using Keynote (version 6.6 2550). I type the text, but when I underline, the colour of the line is blue. I searched and found a solution for an older Keynote version. However, the latest version does not have a dropdown menu with the colours, so it seems impossible to change the colour when using the latest version. Text Underline Colour Differences in Keynote
Iv never heard of this happening before.
You need to supply some details:
the specific version of Keynote
version of Mac OS X
how are you selecting the under line; keyboard command or the format inspector
what font is used
what theme are you using
which master slide
a preset text placeholder or a custom text box
how are you selecting the colour
I hope you are still there, Gary! Seven months later, and I am adding information to my slides. The (default) blue underline is back - and the old "trick" does not work! Please help - it should be underlined in brown, not blue!!
Sorry, for some reason a part of the question is missing. I would like to match the colour of the underline with the colour of the text. I've tried everything so far - without success.
Gary, you are a star! I would never have figured it out! Thanks a million!
Are you selecting the text before applying the colour to the underline?
What theme and slide master are you using?
