iCloud Backup Failing

Hi,


I have been having issues backing up my iPhone 6 for a number of months. It tells me it was last backed up on June 9th 2015!

Everytime I start a backup it fails before completing and leaves the message, "the last backup could not be completed".

I am using the latest iOS.

I have tried turning iCloud backup off and then on again. I have also tried deleting my backup and trying again (which was a huge mistake because now I don't have anything backed up!)


Any help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like it has been awhile since your iPhone was able to backup to iCloud. The article below provides general troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve the backing up your device with iCloud.

A message says my backup could not be completed

  1. Make sure you're connected to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
  2. If possible, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network.
  3. See if you have enough iCloud storage for your backup, and get more storage if you need it.
  4. If you need more help, contact Apple Support.
