Using Imovie with an external hard disk
I want to create a movie using movies and photos provide my iMac
but I want to create and save my movie on external hard disk .
How I can manage that ?
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Create a new library on your external hard disk (make sure this disk is Apple - formatted and not FAT or NTFS). Then import your media into the library. Any projects you create in this library will be on the external HD. See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov3fa25bae7
