iTunes forgets "Love" status when syncing iPod Classic

Each time I sync my iPod Classic iTunes 12.3.1.23 forgets many of my "Love" status'. I've noticed this ever since iTunes gained the "Love" option. I'd like to use "Love" but there's no way I can when they get deleted with every sync. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

I'm running iTunes 12.3.1.23 on an iMac.
