Is there any way to disable the two finger cursor in IOS9?

I have an iPad4 and before IOS9 I was able to touch type at a good pace using the on screen keyboard. Since updating to IOS9 the new two-finger cursor (easy text select?) feature seems to be interferring when I do more than 'peck' single letters. It seems to be registering more than one finger and throwing my cursor all over the screen. I've had to move to a bluetooth keyboard just so I can type at a reasonable speed again. Is there a way to disable the two-finger cursor option?

I have had the same frustration with this feature since it was released. Prior to this two-finger cursor feature being introduced, I could type quite quickly and accurately using the on-screen keyboard. Now, when typing quickly, the previous word is frequently selected and deleted unintentionally.

Simply providing a toggle for this in the keyboard settings would alleviate this entirely!

Please Apple, let us toggle the keyboard cursor gesture off!

I do not know how to disable the two-finger text selection, or whether it can in fact be disabled (I don't think so).

But you say you "type at a good pace", yet all the new two-finger operations require a slow, deliberate hold. So here's the article describing the two-finger operations (one operation to select text, and a different operation to turn the keypad into a trackpad). Bavoth are slow, deliberate operations. You can probably easily avoid them once you realize exactly how they're enacted.
