Q: MacBook Air will not boot however fan runs high
On switching my MacBook Air (Mid 2012) on, nothing appears to happen, and there is no sound, however after several minutes the fan starts to run loudly before eventually after several more minutes the fan stops and nothing further happens.
The MacBook is fully charged and plugged into the outlet.
This happened once a few days ago but when I tried turning it on again, it worked, and has done so since, until today when no matter what I try, it will not turn on.
I have tried following instructions here: https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201177 to reset the SMC but this has not helped.
Could this be related to the issue described here? http://www.apple.com/uk/support/macbookair-flashdrive/
I am currently travelling abroad and am not able to visit an Apple Store. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance!
