USB pendrive not showing up in boot menu.

Hi all,


I have created a bootable windows USB drive with the help of bootcamp utility. After restarting the machine when i press the alt key from my keyboard, the

bootable USB drive is not shown in the boot menu.


Someone please help!!

I had followed that tutorial. Problems faced,


1. After bootcamp finishes the partitioning and restarts the mac, following message appears - "No bootable media found" on a black screen.

2. To solve the above problem I have tried the following,

1. I press the alt button from the keyboard when the iMac boots up but the bootable USB is not visible there. (Thats the main issue)

So in How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support you complete step 3 successfully but in step 4 it does not restart to the Windows installer?


In the article Create an ISO image for Boot Camp from Windows installation media - Apple Support, it says "Connect your flash drive or SD Card, then try to eject it from the Finder. If you don't see an option to eject the drive in the Finder sidebar, this device can’t be used to install Windows.". Did you verify this?
