Nov 12, 2015 9:31 AM in response to rgourcby FatMac>MacPro,It might be wise to treat this as a learning experience.
Since you upgraded to El Capitan from some earlier OS, you're aware that previous versions of OS X went through a series of updates (e.g., Yosemite went from 10.10.0 to 10.10.5) to correct issues discovered after initial release too. So, unless there is some must-have feature of the newest version of OS X, why not wait to upgrade to it while following the difficulties others may be having on these Communities? Or, if you have access to additional partitions and or drives, cloning your current installation and upgrading that instead to test the new OS before committing to it.

Nov 12, 2015 9:49 AM in response to rgourcby JimmyCMPIT,Heres a question.
you have an old car with an aftermarket part
you buy a newer make of the same car
the aftermarket part won't fit when you want to put it on on the newer model.
when do you tell the car manufacturer they need to admit it's their fault and fix it so it works with your old parts?

We have no doubt on initial good intentions from Apple but it has been released before full completion fo Quality check.

It is urgent that Apple admit their fault and correct it at very soonest ... when ???
I'm not suffering from having installed El Capitan — everything has gone smoothly for me for nearly two months now. Over 20 million people have downloaded and installed it; they're not all posting here or posting user reviews in the App Store. That tells me that the small minority of people that are having problems are having those problems because of something going on with their individual computers, not the operating system as a whole.
El Capitan was in beta testing for a year. They didn't just cobble something together in two weeks and throw it out there. If you need help with something that's not working the way you think it should be working, download and run EtreCheck, then copy/paste the status report here. We can't help you until we know what's on your system.

Rather then Apple fixing anything, I think you are going to have to admit the truth that there is something wrong with your Mac. You are going to have figure out what that is. If you will stop your ranting and post the details of your problems and what you have done we might be able to help you to fix it.
Along those lines if you download and install EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck
Run it and post the report here. The report will give us a snapshot of your Mac which we can analyze in an effort to help you solve your problems.

Nov 12, 2015 10:20 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby rgourc,Would I use an old version of Macbook air then I would accept your remark as fully valid...but it is not the fact: Systematically I buy newest releases of Macbook air as soon as available (and I give my previous one as gift to a family relative)

Nov 12, 2015 10:44 AM in response to rgourcby JimmyCMPIT,I'm supporting DOZENS of systems new and old and not seeing these problems?
Did they occur immeditly after unboxing your computer without adding any additional software or did you add additional software? If so what? If what? Are there updates for it? Are there no updates for it? Does the developer of the product state the product will (or won't) work with OS 10.11? Did the developer stop developing the product? Is it a legitimate product? Is there a product you are running that is a known to be a problem with the stability of the system?

Nov 12, 2015 11:06 AM in response to rgourcby Converted2iMac,We have three Macs in the house and all three have been upgraded to El Capitan.
Only the oldest, a 2010 iMac 27" has had any issues.
Since the upgrade on 29 October it has had 7-8 catastrophic crashes - i.e. machine died, requiring cold start. Panic reports in almost all cases pointed at Trusteer Rapport and, on contacting them, they admit there is a problem they are working on.
After disabling Rapport, there have been no further crashes of that sort.
There have been numerous crashes in Apple Mail - the application crashing when a mail is selected for reply or forwarding. Opening the mail in a separate window sorts that, though when Mail restarts, it also works as it should, from the side bar.
I've had an iPhoto crash that required the entire library of 45,000 images to be rebuilt. That was the scariest of the lot, though I did have backups on Time Machine, had I needed them. I had, however, deleted files from the camera on the latest upload to iPhoto, and they would have been lost had I not identified a free app in the App Store that restored the pictures. Now I never delete the files at time of upload, for safety.
There have been a couple of Safari crashes, one after Rapport had been removed.
All have been recoverable, so the experiences have probably forced me to be even more careful in ensuring stuff is backed up and safe..
On the plus side, the system has appeared to be faster than when running Yosemite.

Nov 12, 2015 11:39 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby rgourc,The application at problem is Mail from Apple Inc.
Since more than one year I have been using it with 3 simultaneous email accounts, hotmail, gmail and yahoo. Never I faced a single issue.
Then I updated from latest version of OS X (always I keep my software updated to latest version thanks to App Store from Apple Inc.) to this new El Captain. Immediately, Mail application stopped working correctly. There was nothing else installed in that mean time.
For your information, today I migrated my email accounts and Mail mailboxes to Outlook and all works fine.
Don't misinterpret this statement: I preferred Mail application however I was stuck and needed an urgent fix for being able to work again.

Nov 12, 2015 11:57 AM in response to rgourcby Grant Lenahan,★HelpfulJust FYI - Mine (just updated) is working fine. My mail -- with7 accounts -- works fine.
Admittedly its a 2 hour test, but the problem is some kind of corruption or 3rd party software. 10.11 appears to work ok.
Just sayin....
