updated Mac to new software & now mouse & keyboard do not work

HI! Last night I updated my software to the El Capitian and now my Logitech keyboard & mouse (both wired) are not working. I unplugged everything including the computer in hopes of reconnecting it but it didn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!
