I upgraded to El Captain and itunes won't sync iphoto pics to my iphone

Hey all,

hopefully someone can help. I ugraded my iMac (21.5inch 2012) to osx El Captain and since then when I plug my iphone 5s in to load up photos, it loads them fine, but when I try to sync all the photos back in itunes from iphotos library to my iphone it won't do it, and only gives me the option of syncing from aperature (or another folder of which iphoto is not an option. Can anyone help me please?
