Nov 12, 2015 12:04 PM in response to marcvvby Phil0124,Sleep uses less power, and does not send a video image to the Tv. Its for all intents and purposes turned off.
Its very unlikely it would be interfering with TiVo.
What exactly is happening?

Nov 12, 2015 12:10 PM in response to Phil0124by marcvv,When it goes to sleep it seems to trip up the HDMI connection. It may be the Anytime+ CEC signal trying to turn off the set and/or Tivo when the Apple TV goes to sleep. The only way to get the picture back on Tivo is to restart or manually wake up from the front of the tivo.
For now I have disabled Anytime+ CEC and will see if that keeps it from happening but thought if I could keep the Apple TV on permanently it might be a better solution. Not sure what the power draw is on the Apple TV and if any harm would come to it running it 24x7x365
thanks

Nov 12, 2015 12:16 PM in response to marcvvby Phil0124,★HelpfulProbably no real harm to keep it on. It will go into screen saver mode after a while of no activity. There's also a setting for how long it will wait before it goes to sleep on its own.
Settings > General > Sleep After.

Nov 13, 2015 3:21 AM in response to marcvvby Winston Churchill,Leaving it on will consume more power and possibly lengthen the life of the product, I can't think of anything else.
