Q: Is there an adaptor for my Firewire iSight webcam to my new Mac Mini with mini display ports?

The title pretty much sums it up.

Thanks,

George

You need a Thunderbolt to FireWire adopter and then a FW 800ale to FW 400 adopter sine the iSight has FW 400 plug.

Also, it is not clear how well it will work.

The FW iSight only works at about 1 frame/20 seconds with no mic on my 2012 Mac Mini via the Mini's FW port

On my 2013 Mac Pro desktop it work but with no mic

It may have been timing, but my Firewire Eyesight camera quit working with El Capitan, and I replaced it with a Logitech Webcam C920, on my 2011 Mac mini. The camera is plug-n-play with Facetime, and Skype. It has very good audio pickup capability for OS X Dictation, and the Carl Zeiss optics are very sharp.

The FW 400 iSight works in my 2009 Mac Pro desktop with EC but no mic
