Adding photos to movie?

I've actually figured out how to add the photos. However, is there a way to just get the "camera" to hold still on the photo? Must it pan a random direction (top to bottom, left to right, zooming in, zooming out)?? My photos are from 2004 and pretty bad quality compared to today's cameras. It cuts off heads, and other parts of the photo when it does that... it actually never even shows the whole photo and I can't figure out why (like just missing the top 2 inches or something). Please help thanks!
