I can't format my 2TB Samsung M3 Portable HDD USB 3.0 with DU or Terminal

I got a Samsung 2TB Portable HDD and I can't do partition, mount, and when I try to format the hdd always have this errorUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file


In terminal I wrote this:

You do not need any drivers for any external hard drive; all you need is to format it correctly for Mac.


I may be off, but I believe it is El Capitan's Disk Utility causing the problem (if I remember correctly what I read) - have you tried to use recovery: boot into recovery (Command + R); once you see the Utilities window, try Disk Utility there to format it. Make sure to erase the drive and then format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID partition scheme. You can use the Partition tab to do this.
