Q: Locating auto-recover word files on Mac
HI there
i know this question has been asked and answered many times but I'm still hitting a brick wall and I'm getting desperate!
I had three Word docs open when my Mac started to freeze - I tried to save them before restarting like I normally would, but it was frozen on one of the documents and I couldn't do anything about it. So I restarted, assured in the knowledge that my auto save function would kick in and they'd just open straight back up once I restarted. However, Word opened up but none of the docs did - I was able to get two of them out of my saved folder but they were a day old - fortunately I haven't done much work on them today so it didn't bother me too much.
the third doc - the one that I've been working away on over the past two days - is nowhere to be found (this is the one that froze before I shut down) - all three were saved in the same folder but now this one is gone.
I'Ve spent the past hour looking at all different suggestions online but have so far had no luck. It's not in My User Data folder, and for some reason when I got to Library/Application Support/Microsoft there is no option for Office
I've also tried searching in my temporary folder but can't find anything there either.
If anyone has any suggestions it would be really great, thanks!
