Q: "No Service" when trying to share file or webpage.

Since I installed OS X 10.11.1, I have been unable to share web pages (actually, I have been unable to share anything) via Email or any other way. Whenever I try to share, either by clicking on the share icon at the top of the Safari window, or by right-clicking on the file icon on my desktop, all that happens is that I am told "No Service". Attempts to find answers through the Help functions for Safari or for the system have been unsuccessful.

Please follow the instructions in this support article. Instead of typing the shell command directed in the article, I suggest that you copy and paste it from the web page into the Terminal window. Make sure you select the whole line. One way to do that is by triple-clicking anywhere in the line.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before proceeding. You may have to log out or restart to see a change.

Your response solved my problem, though I was rather slow to actually use it. Thanks for the help.
