I have a Macbook Air and an iPhone 5S and when I was using the Yosemite on Macbook air and iOS 8 on iPhone 5S airdrop worked perfectly, after I updated both devices to El Capitan and iOS 9 airdrop stopped working.
I did a clean install on Macbook air and a system restore on iPhone and the airdrop is still not working. I called Apple support and threy couldn't help. However my friend has a mac book air and not get updated to El capitan, he still using Yosemite and airdrop worked using ios 9.
Why airdrop works perfectly on macbook using Yosemite and iPhone using iOS 8 or iOS 9 and does not work on El Capitan and iOS 9?
Yosemite> iOS 8 perfect
Yosemite> iOS 9 perfect
El capitan> iOS 9 does not work
MacBook Air (11-inch Mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), iPhone 5S using iOS 9.1
