I message or just normal text messaging, every time I delete old messages from phone I then am not able to open a message or send a message because the message app freezes up ?!

I message or just normal text messaging, every time I delete old messages from phone I then am not able to open a message or send a message because the message app freezes up ?! I've phoned Apple before told them about this , the phone in messages only Jams up the battery starts to drain , then the phone gets hotter and hotter , I was told to reset phone back up phone restore phone none of this helps , I took into 02 my provider who were useless I might add , after a long hard battle I got them to wipe the phone or so they tell me , reinstall everything who then told me it was fixed . I wasn't convinced and rightly so , because it still continues to do the same annoying thing , it's as if the processor can not deal with my request And goes in to melt down , I don't understand how every time I try to delete messages as soon as I have done so I then can't open message app or send a message or recieve a message , and if I go to settings I can open every thing except messages ( it freezes and is highlighted grey ) go back out back to try and send message and if I click on a old message it freezes ( highlighted grey )

shut phone down return to messages and all delted frigging messages are back again , and sometimes I still can't send a message ..... So whole process startes again ,, never had a problem with I phones before but by god this has put me off them now

my contract is a fairly high monthly contract I've probably purchased the phone out right my now so I'm more annoyed that a 700 pound phone don't do whst it is supposed to do and I still battling with a fix for it . Can't say I gave any faith in 02 as a provider and promoter of Apple I phones as they really couldn't bothered to help me fully ,

Hi Donna,

This sounds like a bad problem and you are obviously getting very frustrated. Are you able to book an appointment with an 'Apple Genius' at an Apple Store? you have already done most of the obvious things and I would suggest that someone at Apple needs to see your iPhone. Do make a booking via the Apple website http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/ as you will save a lot of time by having a booking.

Hi

The O2 store tell me a Apple genius looked at it when they had it and wiped the phone of all apps and re installed them but obviously it's not corrected or rectified my issues I'm frustrated yes very i believe it's a fault on the phone itself we don't have a Apple Store in Peterborough our nearest is Cambridge or Milton Keynes I worked 6 days a week every week and I've not got time just to zip off, 2 hour trip up the road and back at the moment, I've sent it off for two weeks via O2 Peterborough branch within Queensgate who gave me a basic Nokia phone that had no internet no nothing, I'm appalled by the service to be honest not sure what to do now

If it were me, I would suggest to O2 that they need to honour their part of the contract which they have with you and that they could do this by simply replacing your iPhone with a new one. Rather than going in to an O2 store, try calling them on the phone - you may get more support that way.
