Q: I downloaded a sample EPUB from iBooks, where is it stored in my Mac?

EPUBs are stored at Library > Containers > com.apple.BKAgentService > Data > Documents > iBooks. However, sample EPUBs are not there or are somehow hidden (but not revealed with Terminal > defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE). I have found a path in Books.plist inside iBooks/Books with this information: /var/folders/zq/_3mkn0717td810mlns4k0_r40000gp/C/com.apple.iBooksX/999999999/_m zbf_streamable_999999999999999999.d2.pre.epub, where the nines are examples. When I access this path, I get into /var/folders/zq/_3mkn0717td810mlns4k0_r40000gp/C/com.apple.iBooksX but the files and folders there do not show my sample EPUB file, say 999999999.epub, that remains hidden.

Any idea?

Many thanks in advance.

I downloaded my draft EPUB and was able to access it from my Mac using the iBooks app. It appears next to other books I've purchased in the past as if it was already published. I can view it here on my Mac like any other iBook in my library.

I'm not sure if that answers your question, but I hope that helps!

Many thanks for your reply. My question is how to locate draft EPUB files in Finder. Of course iBooks is able to open EPUB books, but I would like to see how they are made getting access to source code. Hope this clarify my question. It is very amazing Apple stores all EPUB files as explained in my question, but draft EPUBs are somewhere else and somehow hidden.
