Is there anything to save on a bad G5?

My G5, circa 2002-2003, was in a box for about 1 ½ years, finally went to take it out a few days ago and it was all corroded, stuff was growing inside it like a bad biology experiment. Through some research, I figure the liquid in the liquid cooled system leaked.

I was able to save the hard drive so I can use that as an external drive, but is there anything else worth saving on it? Can the DVD drive be taken out and used or does it have to be hooked up to the G5 to work?

Also, I have a monitor that was purchased with it. It's very nice (or was at the time, over 3K if I'm not mistaken), it's the see through acrylic housing one. Can it be used for anything? Can you even hook it up to any other computers or is it basically a giant, $3000 paperweight?

Thanks,

Ehren
