Q: Logitech Create keeps losing connection to iPad Pro

Logitech Create keys stop working every few sentences or just a few words. Have to keep hitting the keys then a iPad keyboard pops and then goes away. Get a few more words in the problem repeats. Happening in all apps. Did a hard restart of iPad Pro and no change.

It's like the Create goes to sleep and wakes up intermittently.

Anyone else having this problem?

    Hi, Neil.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with your Logitech keyboard case and your iPad Pro.   Here are some basic troubleshooting steps that I would start with for this issue.

Get help connecting a Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You may also need to reach out to us as well as Logitech for further assistance if the steps above do not resolve the issue.

    Cheers

    HI Jason,

The Ligitech Create is not Bluetooth. It uses the new Smart Connector on the iPad Pro.

I picked up a new Logitech Create at Bestbuy and it is working flawlessly. No disconnects or interruptions. Clearly the Create keyboard I received from Apple was defective as the Smart Connector had issues staying connected right out of the box. I set up a return for it to go back to Apple.

After two days, the replacement keyboard is working great.

My keyboard showed a message, something about not being supported. Then the keys stopped working. I restarted the iPad Pro and it is working again. Hopefully not defective but I might need to replace it if it keeps disconnecting.

Good advice!  I tried turning off and on again the iPad Pro and that fixed  connection problem with my Create keyboard too. That always seems to the the answer after all other troubleshooting methods are exhausted
