Trying to change Icons in El Capitan, anyone use this Litelcon?
I went into the program and got mega intimated.
I am intimated going into the terminal.
I hope to ask and find out if there are seasoned Mac users & El Capitan opinions.

You should not use Liteicon, nor XtraFinder or Totalfinder and what have you.
Yo CAN change icons in OSX very easy in the OSX way:
select the folder or the file of which you want to cange the icon, hold Alt(option) when you select it and choose "getinfo", we call this getinfo panel 1.
Then selcect a folder or file which's icon you want to use, hold Alt(option) when you select it and choose "getinfo", we call this getinfo panel 2.
Now in getinfo panel2, select the icon (top left), in the Finder menu choose "copy", then select the icon to be changed in getinfo panel 1, and in the finder menu select "paste".

LexSchellings- I used to do that with the prior OS X. Your way is a little tweak that might bring me success. I'm going to tackle that now! Thank you for replying and giving me an alternative. Like I wrote Linc Davis, Litecon is now gone! Had a dumb attack!!! 😝 ilene
Avoid like the plague any third-party software that purports to change the user interface. Just say no.
It still works. And is no hack.
