My MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015, Processor 1,2 GHz Intel Core M on OS X Yosemite) is not charging when plugged in to power.
Have tried unplugging, restarting and shutting down.

Funny. Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday too. Does not charge at all. Now the battery is completely out.
It's under warranty, make an appointment with the nearest Apple Store.

I have tried it on every socket and did an smc reset and its as dead as a doorknob. I also have a dongle attached that I tried it w/wo
I will visit the Apple Store today.
I believe the problem is the USB-C cable. But I keep you posted.
So I was at the Apple Store. The guys were very helpful.
As suspected, the USB-C cable was broken. I got a replacement for that and now the problem is fixed.
I went to the Apple store this morning got there before they opened since the next appointment wasnt until Saturday. My usb-c cord was bad. They replaced it and I was outta there in 20min.
i have the same problem and tried all solutions found on the web. at the begining smc reset was working fine. but after 3 months stop working again 😕... and i bought a new cable and worked again. till last week.. i brought my mac to the service and they told that they need to change the main board and i need to forget about my files if i dont have tm backup... 😠 is that so easy to lost a main board of a macbook? i m not sure that they really know how to find the problem... 😐
