Q: Missing Documents after El Capitan Upgrade

I had some private documents on system/library folder and I just noticed that they are all gone. I know it's a little weird to keep the documents on system folder but I had no issues in previous upgrades. Most of them were videos and disk utility says I have 119 GB movies files even if I have 14 GB on my movies folder. I mean, disk utility says that my missing files are still on the Mac but I can't find them.

Would you please help me about this?

Don't take this the wrong way, but that was just about the worst possible place to put your documents. They belong in your home folder.

When you installed El Capitan, some or all extraneous files in the System folder were moved to the folder /Library/SystemMigration. Look in there.

You are right, it was the worst place to put documents and I found them on Library/systemMigration folder, thanks a lot for your help
