How to set a password for LaCie thunderbolt hard drive?
I have LaCie Thunderbolt external hard drive and want to protect it with a password.
You can either use Filevault (Preferences > Security & Privacy) or put an encrypted image on it, using Disk Utility.
Personally, I've used encrypted imaging for sensitive folders on external disks, and prefer it.
