iPad Pro screen is yellow

Just got my new iPad Pro and love it, best iPad ever. But I've noticed the screen color temperature is significantly shifted more toward the warm/yellow tones than my other two iPads, which are cool/bluish. I like th blue better, it makes whites look cleaner. I was wondering if this is a common issue?

went back to the apple store Liverpool today to give my 2nd ipad pro 128gb back..i then tried 2 brand new ones next to the display models and even the 2 lads who helped noticed how yellow they were compared to the 32gb display model..im so annoyed I just don't know what to do ..I don't think there is a 128gb that hasn't got the problem I can keep this one until the 20th jan then just take it back and either get a refund or change it..i just want an ipad pro with a white screen

they may use Samsung after Christmas or just keep using sharp ..I would like to know which is causing the yellow tint is it sharp or Samsung ..no definite answer ..I sketch a lot and like a white screen .my Wacom had a yellow tint but I was able to calibrate the display ..the ipad pro is a uniformity problem ..the whole screen should be white like the 32gb models ..I think its an amazing device but at its price point the quality control is lacking

I really didn"t want to bring my back, but seeing that there are still users getting iPad Pros with the yellow screen prompted me today to return mine both to see if I can get the color I really wanted and to see if I could get one that either wasn't as yellow or was the normal cooler blue.

I brought my good iPad as a comparison, but I think the flourescent lighting in the Apple Stores makes it hard to make a comparison in the store.

I think i did better this time, but the screen is still slightly yellow,

Here was my original iPad Pro alongside my iPad 3.

The iPad Pro I had was somewhat yellow overall.

We use standard incandescent light in out apartment. So, I think the camera is exaggerating the yellow tone more than what I was observing with my own eyes.

The replacement iPad Pro below. Looking at it with my own eyes looks much whiter in person next to my iPad 3.

I think the slight yellow in this image, again, is more exaggerated from the camera and room lighting, but it is much, much less yellow than my originally purchased iPad Pro.

In person, the display appears to be almost as white as my iPad 3.

Since we're discussing yellowing screens, I just took a look at my 6th gen iPod Touch that I purchased in July and even it has a yellowish hue screen.

I use this mostly as my music player, to take phtos and to check email and weather on the go. Plus I sync this to my Pebble Smartwatch.

So, I dont use this to actual drawing or notetaking on. So, the yellow screen is really not a big deal the way I use my iPod Touch.

I use my iPads for more creative and more for laptop-like use.

here are some pics..the ipad pro from hong kong is close but has white at the bottom of the screen then at the top it goes yellow .the uk one is patchy yellow.the ipad air is a nice white great uniform white..the Samsung tab s2 is the best followed by the Samsung tab s 10.5 ..im going to wait until a couple of months im not willing to spend that sort of money on poor screens and the quality control needs to be looked at from apple..blotchy dirty looking screens its just horriable to look at the yellow tint and blotchiness is awful for this price point .most people wont be bothered but if you compered then I think you would change your mindUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

My latest iPad Pro has sort of a color gradient going from top to bottom. It's a bit yellower/browner at the top and gets bluer/whiter toward the bottom. I'm kind of tired of playing screen lottery so I'm going to keep it a while and see if it evens out. Maybe this is that infamous glue you always hear about. I feel like the effect is getting less pronounced, but I'm not sure. If it isn't cleared up by the return date on the eighth I'll exchange it.

Let me share my expirience: after 3 iPad Mini (2 16GB and 1 64GB) returned back for the yellow issue on the screen, I have decided to change, so I have bought a iPad Air 2 16GB. Also this device had the same issue on the display, but after about 10 days of usage the display appears whiter than the first days. So some rumors on a problem that solves with the usage seem to be true.

hi having had so many ipad air 2 s and lots of other apple stuff the glue thing is utter rubbish .its the factory the panels are made in ..its not even a calibration problem because if it was the whole screen would be yellow ..the screens I have are all blotchy not uniform which means poor quality control that's as simple as it gets ..one part of the screen white and another part yellow for £800 no thank you

So, maybe I'm imagining it, but it looks like the blue part of my half yellow, half blue iPad is creeping higher. Be interesting to see how much it's changed by the return date. Also, my obsession with this has made me notice my iPad Air 2, which I would have told you was perfect, also has a slight uneven tone. It's so subtle I didn't notice it for a year, but it is there.
