New episodes not showing up on the main page

Hello,

I run a podcast calleed the Bad Perspective. I uploaded a new episode about 10 days ago but it is still not showing up in the ITunes store. It can be seen and downloaded from ITunes but only if you have already subscribed to the podcast. There have been no problems with other platforms using the feed and the new episode shows up e.g. on Mixcloud or Stitcher.

There is also no difference in the type of browser that I use, i.e. I have accessed the Site with Firefox, IE and Safari.

I have heard that Apple sometimes takes a couple of days to refresh the Itunes store but this has been going on for a long time and I am wondering if there is anything that I am doing incorrectly which is preventing the store from updating.

For information, the ITunes link to the show is:

https://itunes.apple.com/de/podcast/the-bad-perspective/id991071652?l=en

And the feed address is here:

http://www.cityimpro.com/podcastnew-rss.xml

I reported a concern to Apple but there has been no response. Should I go to a Genius bar to ask about this or would that be wasted time?

Many thanks for any help,

Anna

There is no obvious reason for this. The feed appears to be fine - it has no 'guid' tags as it should do, but in their absence iTunes uses the actual episode media URL anyway, and it hasn't affected previous episodes.

This would appear to be yet another instance of the Store 'sticking' and failing to update for an unreasonably long period. It's a long-standing intermittent problem; it usually sorts itself out eventually, but it's very frustrating.

I don't know how you contacted Apple, but the correct way (now the email address has been discontinued, and the usual Support route won't be able to help) is: go to https://itunespodcasts.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and click the disclosure triangle at the right of the 'Choose a topic' field - choose 'Other' and proceed from there. I'm afraid they don't have a good record of helping in this situation.

I doubt the 'Genius bar' would be of any help - it's not a problem on your Mac and I doubt they have access to the iTunes Store.
