Q: How can I connect a second remote for game playing

i bought a second Apple remote for the new Apple TV 4 to play multiplayer games with my son. However I can't seem to connect more than one of them at a time. How can I do that?

You cannot use a second Siri remote on an Apple TV4. For multiplayer gaming the game will often include the ability to use an iOS iPhone as a secondary controller. You can also purchase 3rd party BT controllers for gaming if they are supported by the Apple TV.

    SSome games will have the ability to connect a iPhone as a secondary controller if the game itself allows (like Crossyroad or asphalt 8) but that doesn't actually "connect" the phone to the ATV itself rather is uses the local wifi for a gaming connection. Each game will have their own guide. But like morrisp said, you can only connect 1 Siri remote to the ATV at a time...

    Wish that was clear before I bought the second controller. At the shop there were 20 Apple controllers selling separately, why would they do that? Really gave the wrong impression. I think Apple's dropped the ball here.
