Q: Should I be concerned at my battery capacity?

Hi all.

This seems to be a common question on here. I've searched but never really found a satisfactory answer.

I opened up Coconutbattery the other day to see what kind of capacity was left in the battery of my 2015 Retina MacBook and was surprised to see it was at 89%. The batteries designed capacity is 5297mAh but the maximum charge I can get is 4583mAh now. Since I checked the other day, its gone down to 86.5%. Other battery monitoring applications have given me the same percentage. My load count is only 68.

I usually use my laptop on AC until the battery is at 100% then disconnect it and run off batteries until I get to 1-2% then put it back on AC and repeat. I have let it turn off completely in the last week once the battery is depleted.

So as my Mac was only bought back in June, I seem to have lost almost 14% capacity since then. Should I worry about this?? It seems rather high considering my last MacBook Pro (15" Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro) had over 200 charge cycles at it was only at 96%.

Is there anything I can do to recalibrate the battery and is this even possible? Do batteries need to be recalibrated?

Or is this expected behavior?

Thanks
