voice memo recording will stop when taking picture

I have been using iphone 6 for quite some time and I can record voice memo and take photos at the same time.

Yet, after I have changed to iphone 6s, the voice memo recording will stop every time I take picture. I have to record the lectures and snapshot the notes written on the board at the same time....feel frustrated when losing this simultaneous function.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.1

This is exactly my problem. I need to take photos of lectures while voice recording. It was near the end of the lecture when I noticed that the recording stopped and later found that the culprit was when I open the Camera app. I am using iPhone 6s, iOS 9.1. Were you able to fix yours?

I hope someone know a way around this. Is this a bug? It seems to be working in other iPhone versions.
