sync my old iphone to itunes
Since i downloaded version 12 i cannot sync my old iphone to itunes
iPhone 4, iOS 9.1
Any error messages given? Is the phone recognized by the computer? What iPhone model are you trying to sync?

Thanks for responding to my message .
The iphone i think is a iphone 4 ,i only use it to store music to play in my car. It has always synced fine until a few weeks ago when i plugged it into my ASUS pad to download my latest purchase and up came a programme called phone companion which i presume is a ASUS app,No iphone detail appeared in the header bar and no sync on the phone ,also no error message .I tried other cables and my even older iphone which i also download to and itunes did not recognize that olso.The only thing i could think of was that i had recently added the latest upgrade from apple .I presume the phone companion was ASUS way of transferring music from any device to the pad. Itunes still shows 3 devices connected to the system ,2 old iphones and this pad.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Since the official way to copy music to the iPhone can only be made by iTunes, the 3rd party software seems to be the problem.
Did you try to connect in recovery mode to your computer, to make iTunes recognize the phone again?
