Feb 20, 2016 12:59 PM in response to tcdunby Donniesdad,Just had success reloading the update through a (shutter) Windows system.
Experienced exactly as described, but when connecting to pc after downloading in sequence recommended by the update for Windows, the Beats Studio came back to life.
HUGE relief.

Feb 28, 2016 5:15 PM in response to Armaaanby iChito23,i literally bought a pair today and had this issue. All i did was refresh the "update interrupted page", i unplugged the headphones, held the power button and the pause button down for about 15 seconds even after they turned off and replugged them to the usb and the update continued as normal. Smh surprised this hasnt been officially resolved yet.

Mar 1, 2016 12:56 AM in response to Armaaanby bopbilove,I tried to follow your way but failed. And so my headphones still can not use, a forward and reverse circle, I felt disappointed. Hopefully someone help me in this matter!

Apr 5, 2016 6:33 PM in response to Armaaanby E15,Hi.. Everyone has gotten farther than me. I'm running 10.11.4 on all my 3 Macs, and Windows 7 Ultimate (stand alone machine), and I am stuck in the same place on all 4 machines. I receive "NO PRODUCTS PLUGGED IN" message when I hover over the beats icon on the top bar/task bar.. The update website of course thinks there is nothing connected as well. I ran System Report, and did not see the device listed. Head sets work and connect via bluetooth to anything I try connecting to. Tried different cables, even went to Radio Shack to buy a micro USB data transfer cable, just in case the cables that came with the unit were not capable of transferring data. When I plug any cable to the Mac's USB port (directly) the power lead lights turn on acknowledging power charging activity. Any ideas?
My beats are the Gold Gloss Limited Edition that came bundled with a 2.0 Gloss Gold Pill. I verified the serial number with apple and it checked out in their database. They did say the Wireless Studio headset was manufactured before they took over Beats. So not sure if that has something to do with it, and therefore, neither device has the plug-n-play drivers. This is just weird. Spoke to support, and they don't even acknowledge this is a known issue. Needless to say, they have no clue how to fix this! Below is a screen shot of the "NO PRODUCTS PLUGGED IN" message.

Apr 6, 2016 7:24 AM in response to Armaaanby Aquatnaut89,I had this same problem.
To fix this:
- unplug the usb from the computer and the headphones;
- refresh your browser;
- restart your headphones (hold down button for 10 secs);
- when the lights start flashing again plug back into the computer;
- update headphones

Apr 7, 2016 9:07 AM in response to Aquatnaut89by E15,Yeah, I can't get my Macs to acknowledge my headset is connected - that is step 1. Browser/Website is irrelevant in my case. I have an appointment today at the Genius Bar will keep ya'll posted, see what they say in my case.

Apr 8, 2016 8:12 PM in response to verheadertby vijayfromcolumbus,Steps mentioned by you are not working out for me. Is there anything very specific which I would need to consider here? I have tried everything but those flashing LED's are still there and I am not able to use my device at all.
Someone please help me out.

Apr 9, 2016 6:53 AM in response to Armaaanby vijayfromcolumbus,My issue just got resolved. All I had to do was use a different PC to update. It had windows 7 on them. It seems the updater does not support windows 10 maybe.

Apr 27, 2016 3:10 PM in response to Nate Tallmanby oonlamant,Doing the update through my Macbook bricked the headphones. Trying then through a Windows fixed it and completed the update perfectly.
Good suggestion

May 7, 2016 10:23 PM in response to Armaaanby Swandog.yo,You are the genius! Holding down the power button throughout the update works! Not intuitive but it works. Since you're a software developer you should go to work for Beats and update this piece of crap updater software. Very ******** code!! I can't thank you enough for your work around. Apple support couldn't get me past the white rotating LED circle of death. The Apple support person was getting ready to create a service ticket so I could send the headphones in for repair. No need now since they're working after reading your post. Geez I hate crappy software!! Not real good QA on this release.

Jun 9, 2016 4:10 PM in response to Armaaanby ppolianidis,Hello All,
I am really mad.
It happened to me to with my Studio Beats. Without any reason the update interrupted and I could not reset the device. The leds kept on moving back and forward...
Luckily I had a WINDOWS PC too and managed to update the firmware before the batteries die (I did't even wanna know what could happen if they did)
This is not the first device my MacBook Pro running osx 10.11.5 tried to brick. If there are no decent developers that can make proper hardware compatibility with the OS (everyone keeps bragging that Beats work better with Apple products), no decent developers who can make software, updaters properly compatible with devices then I am done with this. This is the last Apple product I ever bought.
I am an experienced systems engineer and I have a right to formulate an opinion on this. I don't wanna know what caused the interruption, I don't care about the bugs that this OS/Software updater has but I bet it was never tested properly. All I expect is if I pay 2,500 Euros for equipment I expect it to be at least SAFE to perform an operation such this, not to mention "functioning properly".
Buy normal PCs and use decent operating systems everyone. I bet I could make it work properly on my Linux Mint work laptop.
Good bye Apple

Jun 17, 2016 3:13 PM in response to verheadertby iMadivad,@Armaaan, I could not have said it better myself: "by the way, Webinterface with Sockets for a firmware update, are you kidding me?"
When it came up, I really thought it was a joke, but figured, "Hey, I have good internet now".
Sure enough, I got a dreaded "connect your headphones message" (after reading the prior: "Don't disconnect the headphones", I was very reluctant to do so) and let it site there for some time.
I was lucky enough that swapping the USB port I was using on ElCap MBP was enough, the headphones were re-detected and the update completed. I haven't tested the headphones yet, but hopefully all is good and I won't be doing it again, especially considering how many people seem to be having problems with this.

Jul 4, 2016 7:27 PM in response to Armaaanby cazper,i actually competed the update and now the the headphones are completely bricked. No lights come on on the headphones, the software updater says that the software is updated and that the headphones have 0 charge and shows charging. The headphones had a 90% charge before the update. I did the update on the mac OS X. Totally frustrated with this whole situation because had i know there were issues with the updater, i would have not done this at all.

Jul 21, 2016 5:26 AM in response to tcdunby Bigady,HERO. Solved my problem perfectly. Quit the updater and re-started it again. Install continued!!
