Iphone 6s (9.1) touchscreen fails
The touchscreen of my Iphone 6s (IOS 9.1) gets freezed in a randomly way. The buttons are also "pressed" by themself. Is it a software problem?

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.
Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your device. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

If these steps don't work, contact Apple and ask for help.
I've just restored the iphone to factory settings, and the problem is still present... I'm losing my patience... This is an expensive phone to have this kind of problems...

Fortunately, it has a 1 year warranty. Take it to an Apple store and they will replace it.
I'm having the same intermittent thing happening when I go to reply to a text. Sometimes it works, and other times the screen is totally unresponsive. And then suddenly it seems to wake up and is alright for a while. So frustrating!
I did a hard reset a couple of times, but I should not have to do that all the time to get this phone to work. My husband and I got the same phones (6s) at the same time, and his never has a problem like that.
User troubleshooting includes restart, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory. The last step is as indicated in the other post, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store. You are correct, you should not have to do that all the time, as that behavior is not normal. You need to troubleshoot the device.
Thanks Chris for your reply. I'm never really sure if I have totally backed up everything, so that part is scary for me.
I did it when we got the new phones, but I do it so seldom that I don't trust myself to not lose something important! 😕
Then I suggest you backup the device. It is very simple to do manually when connected to iTunes or with iCloud, depending on what method you use. iCloud backup even allows for unattended backups daily when you have the device connected to power and the phone is locked and you have configured it to backup to iCloud. You get a daily backup and you don't even have to think about it. Regular backups are what prevent you from losing data when something goes wrong with the device. I've seen too many people come on the forum here asking for help to recover content and they say they haven't backed up their device in months. No way to fix thing at that point. Data is lost.
I think I did the iTunes method before so I guess I'll do that to make sure. iCoud, if it keeps backing up daily will soon exceed the free amount, and I don't need to pay for more. Thank you for your help.
When you get close to the full storage, you will be notified, and iCloud will drop the oldest backup. This support document will help explain a lot when it comes to backups. Hope that helps you. About backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
Thank you. That is a valuable resource and I have bookmarked it for future reference. Just backed up on Itunes.
You're welcome.
I bought my phone in a trip... I don't have a genius bar in my country 😟... I hope it'll be solved in future IOS releases...

Hope what will be solved. There isn't anything to solve. Your incident is either a hardware issue, or you need to restore your device. Since you don't have a Genius Bar, I'm guessing you purchased your device from another country. And, the warranty for that device is only valid in the country of purchase. My answer was not directed to you earlier anyway. I was addressing the individual question posted by hotrodchic.

"More" is 50 GB for 99 cents a month. You mean your data is not worth less than $12 a year?
Q: How many hardware engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They'll fix it in software.
Your phone has a hardware problem. No amount of software will fix it.
